Ali Chourabi (, '; born 26 July 1963) is a Tunisian judge and a candidate for the Tunisian Presidential Elections 2014. He has worked for twenty six years as a judge in several courts in Tunis, Nabeul, Zaghouan and Bizerte and he is currently a Judge of Third Degree, the highest grade of judges, in the Court of Appeals in Tunis. == Early life and career == He was born in Hajeb El Ayoun in Kairouan Governorate where he has pursued his primary and the first cycle of his secondary education. He pursued the second cycle of his secondary education in Lyçée El Mansoura in Kairouan where he got a baccalaureate in 1982. He earned a maitrise in Law from the Faculty of Law and Political Sicences in Tunis, University of Tunis. He is also a certified lawyer and he got a certificate in international relations from the Institute of International Studies in Tunis when it was headed by former acclaimed diplomat Rachid Driss. He got a diploma in English language from British Council Tunisia. He also worked as a journalist in Dar El-Anouar, Dar Assabah and El-Ayyem and he wrote three books about checques, children's rights and human rights. Ali Chourabi is a civil society activist and is a member of Association of Economic Law, Association of Children's Rights and the International Network of Children's and Human Rights in Switzerland. He is also a member of the International Network of Children's and Human Rights in Switzerland through which he participated at several seminars in Switzerland, in Naples, Italy and in Buenos Aires, Argentina and in the Arab League headquarters in Cairo and in its Beirut office.
